Hello everyone! After several months of work, a major new step has been taken in Alt-Fire: weapons!
The video below outlines many of the changes made and shows off some functionality.
TL;DWWeapons weapons have been added and almost all shooting mechanics implemented. All art is WIP.
- No Weapon (harder than you'd think)
- Maverick Pistol
- Bolt Lightning Rifle
- Instagib Rifle
- Shredder Cannon
- "Acid Gun"
- Hellfire Flamethrower
- Fury Minigun
- "Plasma Rifle"
- Renegade Assault Rifle (requires rework)
- "Rocket Launcher"
- Razorback Blade Launcher
- Widow Grenade Launcher (partially implemented)
- "Laser Gun" (partially implemented and requires rework)
- Seeker Rifle
- "Sniper Rifle" (buggy)
- "Railgun"
- Anvil Nuke Launcher
Trigger system 4.0 has been implemented, improving on the previous interaction system in many under-the-hood ways. Some elements created for use are:
- Flexible Trigger Base Class
- Trigger Volumes (now adjustable)
- Pain Zones
- Healing Zones
- Movers
- Crushers
- Lifts
- Doors
- Teleporters
- Kickers
- Destroyable Triggers
- Spinning Actors
- Light Cues
- Sound Cues
- Particle Cues
- Triggerable Explosions
- Trigger Event Collectors
- Buttons
- Monster Spawners
- Look At Triggers
And I've started looking into the art pipeline for how I want to go about achieving my desired art style. I go over some tools I'm using like Blender and Armorpaint, and below are some concept art pieces and renders.
